Mimmo Jodice. Senza tempo on show at Villa Bardini

The exhibition venue of Villa Bardini presents a new, interesting photography exhibition. It is the monographic exhibition Mimmo Jodice. Senza tempo dedicated to the great Neapolitan photographer, a selection of 80 photographs taken between 1964 and 2011

For the city of Florence, this is the photographer's first exhibition, which is divided into various sections: Anamnesis, Languages, Views of Naples, City, Nature and Seas. To these is added a section of unpublished shots of the works of Michelangelo Buonarroti.

Jodice's black and white is not reassuring, neither when he depicts nature nor when he reproduces corners of his city, Naples. It is almost pitiless on the faces of the ancient statues, immortalised for the architect Gae Aulenti on the occasion of the construction of the Neapolitan underground station Museo: their fixity insinuates a vague dismay.

All you have to do is go up to Villa Bardini and let yourself be surrounded by the magic of these shots.

The exhibition started on 24 March and will end on 14 July. More details in the event page
