After a long period of lockdown due to the pandemic, museums in Florence and in the other yellow zones of Italy can gradually reopen their doors! Unlike last year, places of interest will be open also on weekends, on a reservation basis to limit numbers. Museums guarantee all the measures and safety precautions prescribed by law.
Civic Museums (Palazzo Vecchio, Brancacci Chapel and Museo Novecento) have reopened on April 28th, and also, important museums such as the Uffizi, Pitti Palace with the Boboli Garden, Bargello, Medici Chapels, Palazzo Davanzati, Galileo Museum, Archaeological Museum and San Marco Convent are already opened to the public.
Among the churches, tourists can visit again Santa Maria del Fiore Complex (including Dome, Giotto Tower and Opera del Duomo Museum), Santa Maria Novella Church, from May 10th, and Santo Spirito. Santa Croce is going to open on May 12th with new tour options.
Dante’s House, Spedale degli Innocenti and Stibbert Museum are among the other sites of interest which have already opened their doors, and many more will open in the next days…
