In Florence there are places that offer new perspectives on the city, for example the towers. Usually open from June 24th, this year so strange the opening of the Florentine towers has been delayed but for the whole of September it will be possible to visit them.
They are the Torre San Niccolò, the Torre della Zecca and Porta Romana. In fact, all these towers were part of the wall system that surrounded the city and that was demolished in the second half of the nineteenth century to make way for the ring roads, in the reorganization of Florence as the capital of Italy
