The Uffizi and the Academy Galleries open to the public thanks to the social networks, allowing people from all over the world to enjoy the beauty of their masterpieces!
Started on last November, Uffizi On Air is live on The Uffizi Facebook Page every Tuesdays and Fridays at 1pm. Scholars and experts of the galleries talk about the works of art in detail and reveal anecdotes and stories about the museum. At the end, they will answer the questions asked by the public in the chat room.
On December 16th, Radio Accademia debuted online! The project was born thanks to the cooperation between the Academy of Fine Arts and The Academy Gallery and was created by a group of students of the Academy under the supervision of Professor Federica Chezzi.
Nine masterpieces preserved in the Academy Gallery will become live subjects and we’ll listen to them in a podcast, available online, on the Website of the Gallery for 3 consecutive weeks. A fascinating tale to bring the audience at the discovery of unusual details and fun facts regarding the works of some of the most famous masters of Italian Art.
