On the occasion of Dante's celebrations for the 7th centennial anniversary of the death of the supreme poet, the exhibition to be held from 23 September 2021 to 9 January 2022 explores the theme of Dante's fortune in the second half of the nineteenth century, also due to the influence of Risorgimento politics which identified him as "the forerunner of the unity and freedom of Italy".
The exhibition presents a selection of works of art inspired by the naturalist currents and Symbolism, rich in references to Dante's repertoire, thus linking paintings, sculptures and the conceptual and literary references connected to Dante's biographical and poetic story.
