Now in its 8th edition, the Music Festival by the Ensemble Homme Armé will take place this year from September 1st to 20th. It is entirely dedicated to the music of the 15th and 16th centuries, located in the city that has had the greatest influence on Renaissance culture in its various aspects: artistic-visual, literary, musical, philosophical, scientific, and political. The locations chosen for the evening concerts are also from the Renaissance period, including churches, refectories, museums, and libraries.
Developing the original concept of the Festival, which aims to intertwine music with various cultural aspects of the era, the concerts will be accompanied by informative talks designed to educate and inform the public about certain aspects of Renaissance culture. Additionally, there will be musical tours exploring significant Renaissance sites in Florence that house invaluable musical treasures.
The complete program is available on the website HommeArmé.it.
Workshop of poetry and music by Gianni Guastella and Fabio Lombardo (in Italian).
