An exhibition to discover the origins of the Manifattura Ginori: pending the reopening of the Museo Ginori, a selection of works from its permanent collection is temporarily back on display in the Ernesto Ragionieri Library in Sesto Fiorentino, the same building in which the museum was housed before its move to the new premises opened in 1965.
Among the works of art and everyday objects featured in this small but valuable exhibition, the porcelain bust of Carlo Ginori, table setting sculptures, the "museo delle terre" and the original masks for the characteristic "a stampino" decorations.
The exhibition is open from October 8 2022 to April 16 2023 and is organised by the Museo Ginori, in collaboration and with the support of the Municipality of Sesto Fiorentino.
The opening of the exhibition is scheduled for October Saturday 8 at 11am.
