The 27th edition of the O flos Colende sacred music festival is back at the Cathedral of Florence. The festival opens during the Lenten season with a series of Gospel meditations led by Cardinal Giuseppe Betori, accompanied by music. The meditations will take place every Thursday from February 22 to March 21, starting at 7 p.m.
Two concerts are also planned: a Via Crucis performed by the Cappella Musicale della Cattedrale Fiorentina conducted by Michele Manganelli (March 15 ) and the Sacred Mount by the Ensemble Calixtinus conducted by Giovannangelo De Gennaro (April 30).
Admission to the festival is free, but reservations for seats are mandatory and has to be made via email.
