Firenze for families

The perfect map and guide to discover the city and its surroundings with the little ones.

You can find the whole Firenze for Families kit for free at the tourist info points in the city. The kit includes two publications -a map and a guide- available in Italian and English, which show kids our city in a simple and colourful way.

Follow the map while exploring the guide with the most interesting places for children (like the Stibbert Museum with their armours, or the Paleontology one with mammoth skeletons!) without missing the must see attractions, including the many special activities some museums have organized just for them. There are many things to discover not only in Florence but also in its surrounding cities, like Fiesole, Bagno a Ripoli, Scandicci, Sesto, Lastra a Signa, Impruneta, Campi Bisenzio, Calenzano, Signa, Pontassieve, Vaglia, Rignano, Pelago, Rufina, Figline and Incisa, Reggello and Londa.

The kit contains all the information this target needs to know to enjoy their time in Florence, including playgrounds, adventure parks, teaching farms… The guide includes a short description of each location and information about how to get there; it also encourages children’s creativity as some of the pages have been left blank so that they can personalise them with their unique experiences!

The materials, done by the City of Florence’s Tourism Department in collaboration with Mus.e, will soon be available in Palazzo Vecchio and Museo degli Innocenti, in piazza Santissima Annunziata.
