As usual, also this year at the end of May Scarperia, on May Sunday 28, will be decked out in flowers, inaugurating a very special spring with its 42nd edition inspired by the sea.
The historic centre, along Via Roma, Piazza dei Vicari and Piazza Clasio will be covered in colourful floral arrangements that will recall atmospheres and seascapes.
The drawings of the floral paintings are coloured with the petals of flowers, mainly carnations, which citizens, pupils, traders and associations patiently pluck from the previous afternoon and remain visible and photographable throughout the day.
During the day it will be possible to visit the Palazzo dei Vicari e il Museo dei Ferri Taglienti
Shops in the historic centre will remain open for the entire day, as will restaurants and trattorias where typical Mugello dishes can be enjoyed.
Free entrance, open to all. In case of bad weather, the event will take place as normal.
