Starting from September 14, the Opera di Santa Croce will host a multimedia exhibition titled 'Dante Poeta Eterno' curated by Felice Limosani. The project is linked to the celebrations of Dante's 700th anniversary and combines humanistic disciplines and digital technologies, with the intention of narrating the Divine Comedy and the actuality of its universal message, in Santa Croce, a place that is strongly linked to Dante's memory.
To realize this great exhibition, 135 of Dore’s tables were digitized, re-proposed through video projections made with video mapping technique on the dome and on the four sides of the Pazzi Chapel, in harmony with the existing architectural frames. The original images come to life before the spectator’s eyes, enhancing the perception of this extraordinary work and revealing the fantastic narratives contained within.
The exhibition "Dante. The Eternal Poet" can be visited from 14 September 2021 until 10 January 2022 during the opening hours of the monumental complex, by purchasing the entrance ticket to Santa Croce. The visit to the exhibition cannot be separated from that to the monumental complex.
