The construction of the Parish Church of San Romolo in Gaville began soon after the turn of the millennium. Erected alongside a pre-existing tower that was turned into a campanile, the church was completed around 1070.
Of particular interest inside are the capitals, some of which are decorated with human and animal figures, and a 15th-century Annunciation by the School of Ghirlandaio.
The museum, which occupies farm buildings next to the church, contains objects illustrating the life, work and culture ofrural society. An 18th-century olive mill and a fine herbarium are especially worth noting.
