Cèramica 2025 - ceramics fair in Montelupo Fiorentino

The countdown to the ribbon-cutting ceremony for Cèramica 2025 has begun. Montelupo Fiorentino is preparing to host a completely revamped edition of the event dedicated to the area's ceramic tradition, which in 2025 will take place during the Christmas period, transforming the town centre into a large open-air museum, enlivened by lights, exhibitions, installations and activities for all ages.

Cèramica 2025 will take place from 6 to 21 December 2025, over three consecutive weekends, with the inauguration on Saturday 6 December 2025. The initiative is promoted by the Municipality of Montelupo Fiorentino with the scientific direction of the Fondazione Ceramica Montelupo.

For the first time, the event will be held in December, in a format that combines ceramic art and Christmas spirit. The streets and squares of the historic centre will be illuminated by artistic installations, architectural projections and decorations inspired by Montelupo ceramic motifs.

A large Christmas tree will be placed in Piazza dell'Unione Europea, while Piazza della Libertà will host the iconic ceramic tree, made with around 200 plates from local manufacturers. The idea is to transform the city centre into an art gallery, with shops and studios open and currently unused spaces in the centre set up to host installations and personal exhibitions. In this context, there will also be a focus on glass, another typical craft of the area.
