Classica 2025 in Montaione and Gambassi Terme

"Classica", the summer music festival, from June to July 2025, organised since 1995 by the municipalities of Montaione and Gambassi Terme in collaboration with the Fondazione Orchestra della Toscana, returns again this year and celebrates its XXX edition.

Six events with free admission on Sunday afternoons with the ORT chamber groups. The first three concerts, at sunset, in the evocative Pieve di Santa Maria a Chianni in Gambassi, a splendid testimony of the Pisan Romanesque style.

The baton then passes to a sacred place, which has stood on the hills of Montaione since the 14th century, of a wild and austere beauty at the same time, passed down in history as the “Sacro Monte”. This is the museum complex of the Jerusalem of San Vivaldo, admired by scholars and art historians; one of the most significant examples of the reproduction of the places of the Holy Land in the West, for the purpose of substitute pilgrimage, a complex of chapels and small temples arranged in a wooded area according to an order that reproduces to scale the exact layout of Jerusalem at the time.
