Feast of Forgiveness 2026 in Figline

From September 4 to 8, 2026, Figline will once again celebrate one of the most significant events in its history and identity: the Feast of Forgiveness. This five-day festival weaves together tradition, culture, sports, and entertainment. The highlight of the event will be the 53rd Palio di San Rocco, featuring a competition between Figline’s four historic districts (*Porte*) in traditional and athletic contests to win the *Palio* banner—designed this year by artist Francesca Natale.

The initiative is organized by the "Marsilio Ficino" Pro Loco association, with the contribution and patronage of the Municipality of Figline e Incisa Valdarno and the support of the Ministry of Culture; it will involve numerous local associations and organizations. The program includes historical reenactments, the *Palio* competitions, events promoted by local community groups, and the traditional *Giro del Valdarno* cycling race, now in its 48th edition. This cycling event is organized by GS Figline Bike ASD, with the patronage of the Municipality of Figline e Incisa Valdarno, the Metropolitan City of Florence, the Tuscany Region, and CONI. The schedule also features the presentation of the town's volleyball, rugby, and football teams.

Throughout the festival, several long-standing traditions will also take place: a photography exhibition in the *Chiostro dei Frati* (Friars' Cloister) by the Arno Photography Club; a funfair; a charity fair organized by the Don Bosco Oratory on the Salesian Oratory grounds; a street food area in Piazza Don Bosco; and the ever-popular *brigidini* (traditional anise-flavored wafer) stalls located between Piazza Averani and Piazza Ficino.
