Firenze in arte - Celebrating Crafts and Traditions

On the occasion of Capodanno Fiorentino on 28 and 29 March 2026, Firenze in Arte will be held, an exhibition-market celebrating traditional crafts and creativity.

The event, organised by CNA Firenze Metropolitana in collaboration with Associazione Garbo Firenze and Q1, consists of an exhibition-market with live crafts and solidarity, with events for young people and adults.

In the splendid setting of Piazza del Carmine, the public be able to discover live the techniques of artistic and traditional handicrafts: women's shoes, handbags, photographic illustrations, bookbinding, costume jewellery, jewellery and fashion accessories, ceramics, wooden tools, mosaics and Florentine "Commesso" mosaics are some of the items that visitors will be able to admire and purchase.

In addition, the craftsmen will give live demonstrations of jewellery making, the creation of tailor-made clothes using the moulage technique, practical demonstrations of Florentine commessomosaics and wax modelling for jewellery, the making of wooden objects or the decoration of ceramic objects, up to manual text binding, stone setting and photographic printing.
