Ricardo Castro - Amici della Musica

On Saturday, 14 February, at the Teatro della Pergola, the Amici della Musica pay tribute to the unforgettable pianist Maria Tipo with a recital by one of her most prominent students, pianist Ricardo Castro. The only date in Italy, the concert marks Castro's debut in the Amici della Musica season in Florence.

Born in Vitória da Conquista, Bahia, Ricardo Castro is a pianist, conductor, educator and cultural leader who has dedicated his life to the transformative power of music. For nearly fifty years, his artistic journey has taken him to the world's greatest concert halls, classrooms and social initiatives, from solo performances with renowned orchestras to visionary projects that shape new generations.
