On July 16, 2026, the Cavea of the Teatro del Maggio will host a contemporary reinterpretation of La bohème by Giacomo Puccini, featuring acclaimed Italian jazz trumpeter Paolo Fresu.
Joined by the Devil Quartet and the Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Fresu presents a fresh interpretation that preserves the opera's emotional depth and iconic themes while reimagining them through the language of jazz and contemporary music. The performance is arranged and conducted by Paolo Silvestri.
The concert revisits some of the opera's most memorable arias and scenes, offering audiences a unique fusion of operatic tradition and modern musical expression.
