Vision in Blu and Deep Blu - Juan Lin at Palazzo Medici Riccardi and at the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno

Florence welcomes young Chinese painter Juan Lin, one of the emerging voices in contemporary international art, with a two-part exhibition presented in two historic venues across the city.

From 31 July to 13 August 2026, Vision in Blue will be on view at the Sale Ginori of Palazzo Medici Riccardi. From 18 to 30 August 2026, the exhibition continues at the Accademia delle Arti del Disegno with Deep Blue.

Together, the two exhibitions feature 54 oil paintings exploring the expressive power of blue, the defining element of Juan Lin’s artistic language. In his work, blue is far more than a colour: it becomes a mental and emotional space where landscapes are transformed into memory, contemplation and inner experience.

Through subtle layers, transparent glazes and delicate tonal variations, cities, mountains, trees and horizons gradually lose their descriptive function, becoming evocative, dreamlike visions. Vision in Blue and Deep Blue form two chapters of a single artistic journey, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in Juan Lin’s poetic universe, where colour itself becomes the central protagonist of the narrative.
