Example of industrial archaeology, the Pasquinucci furnace was built at the beginning of the Nineteenth Century on the site of a previous furnace. Anyway, the founders of this furnace, Antonio and Enrico Pasquinucci, are to be considered the founding fathers of a long-established craft business that ceased in 1960.
Today, the Furnace is an exhibition center for contemporary art, where, however, the necessary structures to dry the earth, trogoli and terrai, can still be admired.
In compliance with the measures included in the Italian Government Decree of November 4th 2020, the museum is currently closed.
