Florence Art Gallery

Florence Art Gallery

Active since: 2017
Areas of interest: Contemporary art; painting and sculpture

Florence Art Gallery is the fruit of a long family tradition. In 1971 Franco Ristori opened an artisanal workshop in Florence for the production of artistic picture frames, called the Bottega Artigiana Ristori. The workshop soon became a point of reference of artists and collectors. In addition to making frames, it sells works of art by 20th-century masters and contemporary artists. Today it forms part of Florence’s network of historic shops. The passion for art and the desire to become established in the city centre led to the founding of Florence Art Gallery: set like a precious stone in one of Florence’s most attractive squares, Piazza Ognissanti, the gallery is a magnet for lovers of ‘beauty’ in all its forms. It appeals to both local and international audiences and offers works by contemporary artists, traditional names and new talents. Florence Art Gallery wishes to share its enthusiasm with those who love Italy in general and Florence in particular, with those looking to make a purchase that represents the city. Art as passion, art as an invitation to take home something unique from the treasure chest of the Lungarno, following a stroll of ten minutes or a stay of ten days: a taste of the heart of Florence.
