Sandro Morelli transformed his passion into a business when he established his gallery in 1980 in Florence’s Via Maggio, the historic street of dealers in antique art. From the start he has devoted his efforts to mediaeval and Renaissance art, in particular sculpture. His specialisation in this field has earned him a reputation over time and made him a point of reference for enthusiasts and collectors. His selection criteria extend beyond beauty: he looks especially for interesting works able to transmit their original contents and values to collectors. Morelli did not inherit a family business but started from his pure, innate passion and personal studies to become a well-known and reliable expert.
