The traditions and authentic flavours of the Apennines return to Marradi on Sundays 5, 12, 19 and 26 October 2025 with the Chestnut Festival, a historic event dedicated to the renowned Marron Buono IGP del Mugello chestnuts.
In the streets of the village, visitors can taste typical chestnut-based specialities, from fragrant roasted chestnuts to tortelli, from castagnaccio to traditional desserts, and discover artisan products, markets and shows.
The historic centre will host several themed areas: the Crafts Forest, the Court of Flavours, the Artists' Alley and the Funfair of Taste. The festival will be enlivened by music, cultural events and activities for young and old alike. A unique opportunity to experience autumn surrounded by nature, folklore and gastronomy.
Saturday 18 October 2025 will be a special day, “Marradi: la terra che dona frutti”, with guided walks, bike rides, chestnut picking, relaxation, comedy shows and a grand finale of show cooking dedicated to the excellence of the territory. An event that combines tradition, taste and fun, immersed in the beautiful landscape of the Mugello.
