‘Firenze dei bambini’ (Florence for kids Festival) returns from 22 to 24 May 2026. The city will be filled with hundreds of events (performances, games, workshops, readings, concerts), all with free admission, aimed at children up to the age of 12. This year’s edition, marking the bicentenary of his birth, will be dedicated to Collodi (born Carlo Lorenzini, who was born, lived and is buried in Florence) and his narrative imagination, with particular reference to Pinocchio, the fairy-tale character known throughout the world. The theme invites participants to explore, in a creative and child-friendly way, the relationship between truth and lies as a fundamental stage in the journey of growing up, through free initiatives taking place across the city and designed for children and families.
