Water service disruption

On 9, 10 and 11 May 205 in the municipality of Florence (including the historical centre) and in some neighbouring municipalities, there may be disruptions to the water supply network (water pressure drops, temporary suspensions or water cloudiness) due to works aimed at enhancing the ‘water highway’.

More in detail, from 10.00 p.m. on Friday 9 May, preparatory operations to the works will begin. From 9 p.m. on Saturday 10 May, on the other hand, operations will begin to restore the water network, which will return to normal on Sunday.

In order to deal with critical situations throughout the territory, operational teams will be reinforced and 34 Publiacqua tanker trucks (11 on Florence) will be positioned in parallel to guarantee water supply. The territory affected by the works has been divided by Publiacqua into three zones (red, orange and yellow) according to the intensity of the effects, which are also influenced by the height of the buildings, the user's floor and the presence of any accumulations/water tanks.
