Genius Loci. Discovering Santa Croce

Genius Loci is back in Santa Croce from September 24th to 28th! In its eighth edition, the festival offers a unique experience that brings together spirituality, history, and contemporary culture. It draws inspiration from the universal values expressed by the monumental complex of Santa Croce and the great figures whose memory is eternally preserved in this place.

The program includes three nights and one dawn, during which artists, intellectuals, writers, and musicians will guide the audience through a unique and evocative experience, connected to the deep soul of this place, offering new visions stemming from the complexity of the present time. Among the guests, the program includes artist and Nobel Peace Prize candidate Michelangelo Pistoletto, talented musician Frida Bollani Magoni, iconic jazzman Enrico Rava and Fred Hersch, a pianist with 20 Grammy Award nominations to his name.

New this year, and central to the festival’s overall vision, an interfaith experience will take visitors on a guided tour of the basilica and of Florence’s synagogue and mosque on Sunday 28 September.
