MUSICA &… IN QUESTO TEMPO, IN QUESTA TEMPESTA

On October 19, 2025, at the Teatro Niccolini in Florence, the event “Musica &… In Questo Tempo, In Questa Tempesta” pays tribute to the pianist Alice Herz-Sommer, a Holocaust survivor, telling her story through music and words. With the reciting voice of Ottavia Piccolo and the piano of Paolo Marzocchi, the program includes works by Mahler, Ullmann, Bernstein, and other composers connected to memory and cultural resistance.

Alice Herz-Sommer, the famous pianist who lived to be 111 (passing away in 2014), survived the Terezín ghetto during World War II thanks to her love for music.
