Ensemble Michelangelo

Classical music, opera and ballet

On May 1, 2026, at the Church of Santa Felicita, the Ensemble Michelangelo will perform a concert as part of the 2026 season of Toscana Classica. The program offers a journey through three centuries of music, featuring works by Bach, Bizet, Mascagni, Puccini, Massenet, Strauss, Leoncavallo, Tchaikovsky, and Sibelius, alternating intimate atmospheres, Nordic suggestions, and famous operatic pieces.

The ensemble, composed of violins, viola, cello, and harp, brings together experienced musicians and young talents. The concert transforms symphonic and operatic works into chamber versions, highlighting the elegance of the strings and the delicacy of the harp. Particular attention is given to Italian operatic intermezzi, reinterpreted in a more intimate and introspective style.
