The Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina pays tribute to cinema’s most famous soundtracks with the concert ‘Music from the BigScreen’. On Friday, July 31, at 9.00 pm at the Teatro Nazionale in Florence, the Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina will set aside its classical repertoire to celebrate the most beloved soundtracks, taking the audience on a journey through the scores that Nicola Piovani, Ennio Morricone and Nino Rota created for the silver screen. Maestro Giuseppe Lanzetta (who also arranged the pieces) will take to the podium, while the solo performances will be entrusted to pianist Fernando Diaz and trumpeter Marcello Nesi, two young talents active in both the classical and jazz worlds.
From the theme of "Life Is Beautiful" by Nicola Piovani to the evocation of the socially conscious and visionary cinema of Ennio Morricone, the program will reach heights of great poetry.
