Final Concert of the 10th National Music High School Campus: "No(t)te da Oscar!"
The 10th National Music High School Campus, hosted in Florence for the first time, will conclude on Friday, 24 July at 6:00 p.m. with a final concert at the Sala del Buonumore of the Luigi Cherubini State Conservatory.
The Campus has brought together 51 young musicians from around 20 music high schools across Italy for a week of intensive musical collaboration.
Entitled "No(t)te da Oscar!", the concert celebrates Academy Award-winning and Oscar-nominated film scores. Following previous editions dedicated to the music of Ennio Morricone, Nino Rota, and John Williams, this year's program continues to explore the powerful relationship between music and cinema.
Composer-in-residence Marco Bucci has arranged a selection of iconic soundtracks from Braveheart, Lawrence of Arabia, Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, The Godfather, The Lion King, Out of Africa, The Untouchables, and The Last Emperor. The performance will be accompanied by video projections from the films, creating an immersive audiovisual experience.
