Gloria di Vivaldi: un concerto al femminile per dire No alla violenza contro le donne

On Friday, 21st November at 9:00 p.m., in the amazing Basilica of the SS. Annunziata in Florence, Antonio Vivaldi’s Gloria will be performed in an all-female interpretation. The conductor is Concetta Nicolosi, who has an extensive background both as a conductor and as a violinist in many orchestras. The soloists are the sopranos Maria Petereiko and Svetlana Ryzhkova, and the mezzo-soprano Ariel Bicchierai.
The Hortus Concentus Choir, trained with great dedication by Maestro Saverio Mancuso, will perform together with the Ensemble Orchestrale Nuova Europa, featuring a string orchestra, oboe, trumpet, and Angela Baroncelli on organ.
In addition to Vivaldi’s Gloria, other works by Vivaldi, Bach, and Mascagni will be performed.
Admission is by voluntary donation. After covering essential expenses, the proceeds will be donated to Artemisia Anti-Violence Center, a social promotion association committed to combating all forms of violence against women, children, and adolescents, providing assistance and protection. A delegation from Artemisia will be present at the event.
