Cinemas and theatres reopen

Culture flourishes again in Florence: in addition to museums, important cultural venues such as theatres, cinemas and concert halls are finally reopening.

The curtain rises on theatre shows, although summer season is about to come. Pergola Theatre presents a touching Pinocchio, on stage until June 6, while other companies offer outdoor theatre events.

Not only Maggio Musicale Fiorentino! Classical music lovers will be able to enjoy the concerts by Orchestra della Toscana performing in the Medici Villas and other open air spaces in Florence and all around Tuscany. Orchestra da Camera Fiorentina restarted to perform in May and will continue until the end of October in prestigious venues: Santo Stefano al Ponte Auditorium, Palazzo Medici Riccardi, Orsanmichele Museum, Cloister of Santa Maria Novella Church, Bargello Museum. Finally, the cinemas! Among the first ones, the Teatro della Compagnia reopened with a rich calendar:  in addition to a selection of Donatello Prize nominees (from the category “documentary films”), its program includes the Popoli Relaoded 2021 (June 15-18). From June 27, we expect the Apriti Cinema! Festival to restart, with plenty of films in original sound to enjoy under the stars.
