For the first time, on 16 May 2025, the 18th-century historic garden of Villa La Quiete, commissioned by the Electrice Palatina, will open to the public.
This splendid garden, which still retains its original form, was commissioned around 1725 by Anna Maria Luisa de' Medici (better known as Electrice Palatina), who chose Villa La Quiete, in the immediate vicinity of Florence, as her residence.
On Friday 16 May, from 6 p.m. it will be possible to visit the park free of charge, where at 7.15 p.m. there will be a concert by the Florence University Orchestra (music by Beethoven, Salieri, Händel, Sibelius, Strauss).
On Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 May, the garden will be open free of charge without reservation from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (last admission 5.30 p.m.). On subsequent weekends, guided tours from 24 May to 26 October 2025 (reservation required) at this link
