Marion Baruch - One step forward many behind

The exhibition 'Marion Baruch - One Step Forward Many Behind', scheduled at the Museo Novecento in Florence from 15 March to 8 June 2025, is the largest Italian retrospective dedicated to this versatile and cosmopolitan artist. Born in Timișoara in 1929, Baruch has lived in Romania, Israel, France and Italy, bringing a rich variety of cultural influences to her works. The exhibition will pay tribute to her tireless artistic research, focusing on themes such as language, work, migration, gender identity, patriarchy, the internet and consumer society.

Marion Baruch's retrospective also continues in Manifattura Tabacchi, presenting a number of environmental fabric installations that have made her internationally famous in over sixty years of artistic research, tracing a path through the artist's evolution.
