From May 7 to Aug. 31, 2025, Brunelleschi Library is hosting the exhibition Vertigo. Zenithic Photographs by Franco Zampetti.
Visitors can immerse themselves in the meticulous gaze of Zampetti, an architect and photographer, through his zenithal photographs that transform architectural space into visions suspended between geometry and spirituality.
The exhibition presents a selection of 7 large-format images, dedicated to the monumental complex of Florence Cathedral: the Baptistery with the women's galleries and the mosaics of the dome, Giotto's Bell Tower with a view of its interior, and the Duomo with the counter-façade, the apse and the Sacristy of the Masses.
It will also be possible to see a video that presents 14 zenithal images, organized chronologically, and a camera designed by the author that combines plan and perspective in one perfectly centered view.
