"David Genazzani, my maternal grandfather, married to Enrichetta Ambonetti, was born in Florence in 1907. Arrested in Grassina, on May 1944, he was detained in Florence, then in Fossoli and, on July 1944, arrived at Auschwitz from where he was transferred to Buchenwald, where, he died on March 1945. My grandfather was a violinist, composer and jeweler. He was a strong, athletic man, who enjoyed living, playing, joking."
