The church of Santo Stefano lies on a hill that overlooks the route of the Vecchia Pisana road. The oldest mention of its existence dates back to 1224.
The parish church is preceded by a large porch, restored in the 17th century, on whose walls you can see some frescos, of the second half of the 17th century, that are nowadays ruined. Still visible on the facade is the coat of arms of the Bertelleschi family, patron of the church.
The inside has a single nave with a trussed roof. Kept on the two altars, in the 18th century style, are a 16th century Crucifix and a canvas painted around 1750, portraying saints Simone Stock and Maria Maddalena de' Pazzi in adoration of the Madonna of the Rosary.
In front of the church stands the oratory of the Compagnia della Visitazione e Rosario, built in the first half of the 17th century and preceded by a portico supported by small Tuscan style columns.
