A raft-boat connecting the two opposite banks of the Arno river and, above all, two places separated by the river itself: Capraia e Limite and Empoli.
After a year's stop, the 'barchetto' connection, which moves along a rope fixed to the two banks of the river and is manoeuvred by the volunteers of the Canottieri Limite, has just restarted: a 'slow' way of experiencing and discovering the area, a useful service and a tradition that has now lasted 20 years.
From June until the end of September, the ferry will operate, for a maximum of four people at a time, on Thursday mornings from 8:30am to 12:30pm (to reach the weekly market in Empoli), on Saturdays from 5pm to 8pm, and on Sundays from 9am to 12pm and from 5pm to 8pm.
