Galleria Antiquaria Marletta

Galleria Antiquaria Marletta

Active since: 1958
Areas of interest: Drawings, paintings, sculpture and artistic objects from the 16th to 20th centuries, in particular of Italian origin

Located in the Palazzo Ridolfi Guidi, which hosted the English poets Elizabeth Barret and Robert Browning in the 19th century, the Galleria Marletta occupies the ideal space at the crossroads of history and collecting. The gallery was established in 1958 by antiques dealer Giuseppe Marletta, who passed the business to his son Alessandro. Thanks to their passion for art in its various expressions and to the experience gained over the decades, the gallery stands out for its seriousness and competence; indeed it has attracted interest and words of praise from collectors and institutions, both national and international. Galleria Antiquaria Marletta specialises in paintings, drawings and sculpture from the 16th to 20th centuries, especially of Italian origin. It participates in the most important national events, such as the Florence International Antiques Fair, and organises exhibitions. It is further involved in compiling and publishing its own catalogues, which it prepares together with art historians and experts in the field.
