Established in 1960 by Pasquale Velona, today the Velona Antichità gallery is managed by Pasquale’s son Furio. Since 1963 it has been located in Florence at Via dei Fossi 31/r. In 2010, Furio was joined by his son Filippo. Today it offers a selection of Italian, English and French furniture, which ranges from 18th-century pieces from Tuscany and Veneto to 19th-century items from Victorian England, Imperial France and Napoleonic Tuscany. In addition, the gallery boasts a selection of Italian paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries, together with lamps, bronze and porcelain objects, rarities and artistic objects. All of its articles are carefully selected quality items, while every purchase comes with a certificate of authenticity. Velona Antichità purchases mostly from private sources: it makes estimates and hereditary allocations. For years it has participated in the most prestigious Italian antique fairs.
