Since 1937, the library has been located in the old convent that now houses the Liceo Classico Galileo, in a vaulted basement, very close to the Duomo. It was a place frequented by Giovanni Spadolini, Oriana Fallaci and other intellectuals of the second half of the 20th century. It has a vast assortment of out-of-print and antique books, ranging from history, philosophy, literature, art, classical music, and sheet music. From the 1950s onwards, prints are also on sale in addition to books. The bookshop is a popular destination for tourists, collectors, and rare book enthusiasts.
