Middle East Now 2026

Middle East Now kicks off the 50 Giorni di Cinema a Firenze!

This year, the festival turns the spotlight on powerful stories of resilience, migration and identity. Radical Movements is the theme of the 2026 edition, taking place, from October 6th to 11th, at Cinema La Compagnia, Cinema Astra and other venues across the city.

The programme features 33 titles, including feature films, documentaries, short films and animated films produced in 2024, 2025 and 2026 and coming from the Middle East and North Africa, from across the region stretching from Morocco to Afghanistan.

A true immersion in Middle Eastern culture and beyond, through film, photography, music, theatre, food, talks and special projects.

The full programme is available on the Festival’s official website.
