Ancient Signa Fair

Once again this year, the magic returns! The Signa Fair, a centuries-old tradition dating back to the Middle Ages, is back with a rich and varied programme. It will be an ideal embrace that will unite the heart of the city – Piazza Cavour, the historic centre and the ancient village of Castello – with the liveliness of other places, such as Villa Alberti. This event demonstrates how the beauty of a place is also shaped by the people who live there, by the dynamism of the associations and clubs that join forces to make it more lively and welcoming. In short, it is the union of all those who love Signa that makes it shine.

A calendar packed with events from 30 August to 14 September 2025: exhibitions in various locations, concerts and themed dinners, the unmissable Straw Hat Parade on Monday 1 September at Villa Alberti, the evening market on Tuesday 2 September, numerous shows and spectacular fireworks.

The highlight of the event will be the 28th edition of the Medieval Festival at Signa Castle, scheduled for 5 and 6 September. With around a hundred artists and extras involved, the Signa Medieval Festival will offer hours of entertainment with historical re-enactments and combat, street artists, music, dance and engaging theatrical performances. Visitors will be captivated by the fire shows and performances staged in the streets of the village. A mixture of sounds, images and shows dedicated to children, who will be able to fully enjoy the atmosphere of an ancient medieval village, listening to storytellers or visiting the corners of the village animated by jugglers and acrobats.

An unmissable event will be the spectacular CONVIVIUM Medieval Banquet in the Giardino dell'Edera on Saturday 6 September, dedicated this year to the arrival of Castruccio Castracani in Signa seven centuries ago. A cultural and entertaining experience that will also delight the palate: thousands of guests will be able to taste local gastronomic specialities prepared by the Castellani in the various dining areas located throughout the ancient village.

Another event not to be missed is the Historical Parade of Signa, which will wind its way through the streets of the castle, culminating in the Giardino dell'Edera, where the challenge between the Archers of the Four Peoples of Signa will take place.
