Exhibitions

From November 25, 2025, to March 9, 2026, the National Archaeological Museum of Florence will host ECA SREN TVA - questa immagine mostra, a solo exhibition by the artist Luchadora featuring all her works inspired by the collection of the National Archaeological Museum of Florence.

Visual artist Alessandra Marianelli, aka Luchadora, has created a new poster for the exhibition ECA SREN TVA (this image shows, in Etruscan), part of the event L'eredità delle donne (The Legacy of Women). And from 2025, the exhibition will become a permanent display, with a solo exhibition of the artist's works inspired by the museum's collection in the Sala del Sarcofago delle Amazzoni (Hall of the Amazon Sarcophagus).

The illustrations created by visual artist Luchadora, inspired by these masterpieces and museum artifacts, were born from a social media column developed in collaboration with the museum's curators and restorers. They dialogue directly with some of the original artifacts that inspired them, creating a bridge between past and present, between ancient iconography and contemporary imagery, offering a current and original interpretation of Etruscan art.

Each image is dedicated to women: historical, symbolic, or divine figures who embody the importance of the feminine in a culture capable of recognizing its role and value.

The project offers an opportunity to reflect on the female figure in Etruscan civilization, a society in which the role of women was surprisingly advanced compared to the standards of the Greek and Roman worlds: on vases, votive terracotta pieces, and sculptures, women are often depicted as active, elegant figures, participating in family and public life. The images portray them reclining next to their companions at banquets, depicted as goddesses or aristocrats, witnesses and protagonists of the culture of their time. These are testimonies that reveal a world in which the female presence is recognized, observed, and celebrated.
