The retrospective, running from 11 to 29 September 2026, traces his career through seven films, from his beginnings in British social realism to his international success in Hollywood.

Over two decades of filmmaking and across two continents, Schlesinger offered an original portrayal of the English provinces, swinging London and metropolitan loneliness, culminating in the Oscar-winning Midnight Cowboy.
