Tartufesta truffle fair in Montaione

On Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 October 2025, the 23rd edition of the Truffle Market Exhibition will take place in Montaione; it is the autumn festival that celebrates the king of the table: the prized white truffle, which finds its natural habitat in the Montaione region. It is an explosion of flavours and knowledge, showcasing the excellence of local food and wine production: in addition to white truffles, Chianti wine and cheeses, there is also extra virgin olive oil, saffron, cured meats, honey and jams.

On Saturday 25 October 2025, the TartuFesta Preview presents craft breweries, original music, draft cocktails and local gastronomic specialities in the charming Piazza della Repubblica from 6pm to 10pm. 

On Sunday 26 October 2025, from 10am to 8pm, the main attractions can be found in the village: TartuRé, the Via dei Sapori (Flavour Trail), the arts and crafts market, as well as a cooking show where renowned chefs prepare truffle-based dishes in front of the public, and AperiTartufo, where a famous local barman creates an aperitif inspired by the precious tuber, and the Ristoro del Tartufaio, where you can enjoy truffle-based specialities for lunch. 

Don't miss the walking tours in the truffle-growing area, horse riding excursions, guided tours of the Jerusalem of San Vivaldo and the children's entertainment area. In the afternoon, starting at 3.30 pm, there will be a performance by the G. Donizetti Philharmonic Orchestra. For over a month, the restaurants of Montaione will be offering truffle-based menus as part of the Il tartufo nel piatto programme.

Tartufesta, promoted and organised by the Municipality of Montaione, in collaboration with local associations, is an opportunity to promote the area's food and wine traditions and agricultural products of excellence, which, together with its historical and cultural resources, constitute its historical and economic identity.
