The exhibition Toulouse-Lautrec, a journey through the Paris of the Belle Époque opens at the Museo degli Innocenti in Florence. From 27 September until 22 February 2026, this unmissable exhibition features works by Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec and his contemporaries, documenting the spirit of a bygone era..
A painter, illustrator and graphic innovator, the artist captured the nightlife and bohemian spirit of Montmartre in Paris with an ironic and profound gaze.
The exhibition uses paintings, lithographs, posters, photographs, videos and period costumes to recreate that world characterised by café concerts, shows, dancers and carefree living; an exaltation of pleasure that contrasts sharply with the artist's personal life, whose short life was marred by physical pain.
The works come from the Museum of Albi, France, and the Wolfgang Krohn Collection in Hamburg.
