Le Notti dell'Archeologia

Le Notti dell'Archeologia 2026 - events exploring Tuscany's archaeological heritage

Special Openings, tours and workshops

From 1 July to 2 August 2026, Tuscany will be showcasing its heritage through ‘Le Notti dell’Archeologia’, a programme of events dedicated to exploring the region’s archaeological heritage. The theme of the 2026 edition is ‘Archaeology that unites a divided world’, an opportunity to reflect on how celebrating the past can foster dialogue between cultures.

Museums, parks and archaeological sites become places to be enjoyed even outside their usual opening hours, with experiences designed to introduce different audiences to the region’s most ancient history. These are not just tours and talks, but opportunities to engage with these places through stories and new perspectives.

From prehistory to the Etruscan world, from the Roman era to the Middle Ages, each event offers a journey through civilisations, landscapes and historical artefacts that have left a lasting mark on the region: stories from the distant past that still resonate today and demonstrate how archaeology can bring together different eras, places and cultures.

The full programme is constantly being updated on the website of Visit Tuscany
