On Thursday, September 17, from 5 pm until midnight, Piazzale Michelangelo will turn into a vibrant celebration of local farming, food and music.
Overlooking Florence from one of the city’s most iconic panoramic terraces, the Coldiretti Village will bring together farmers, food producers, visitors and locals for an evening celebrating the best of Tuscany’s countryside and the value of short, local food supply chains.
Visitors will be able to explore a dedicated area featuring farm-fresh tastings and country-style street food, discovering local products and the people behind them.
The Agorà area will host talks and live discussions focusing on farming, food, health and sustainability. One of the highlights will be the presentation of the prestigious Oscar Green awards, celebrating young farmers and their innovative ideas and projects.
As the evening continues, the atmosphere will shift from food and conversation to entertainment, with a DJ set running until midnight.
Organised by Coldiretti Firenze, Coldiretti Toscana and Campagna Amica, the event offers a unique opportunity to experience the connection between Tuscany’s agricultural traditions, local food and the city of Florence — all against the spectacular backdrop of Piazzale Michelangelo.
