Florence-Rome-Florence - International Cycling Randonnée in Scandicci

In August 2026, Scandicci will host the start and finish of the Florence-Rome-Florence, the new 1,210-kilometer non-stop international cycling randonnée that has become one of the most prestigious endurance events. A challenge of endurance, endurance, and the ability to tackle long distances in the saddle, it will bring hundreds of cyclists from all over Italy and abroad to ride through some of the most evocative landscapes of central Italy.

The start is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, 2026, from 5:00 to 7:00 a.m., from the Acciaiolo Castle, while the finish and closing ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 22, 2026, also at the Acciaiolo Castle.

The route, divided into 11 checkpoints, crosses four regions—Tuscany, Umbria, Lazio, and Abruzzo—and 14 provinces, for a total of 1,210 kilometers and a total elevation gain of 13,000 meters, making the race even more challenging than the famous Paris-Brest-Paris, considered the world benchmark for randonnées, the next edition of which will be held in 2027.
